To the BANDS:
We've started working on our 2012 release schedule (yes, we work with schedules) now. If you are interested in a release next year or later, there's a chance, but we're really picky bastards, so we must totally love your music to be interested in signing you (we like hundreds of bands, but that's not enough). That's still not enough though: your English has to be at least on a good level and you have to be ACTIVE as a band (playing a lot of live shows, maintaining good web presence, through your own website and social networking pages: MySpace and Facebook). And be realistic! Do you REALLY think your music fits to our style? And you are convinced that you can compete with the bands that are on our roster? If you're sure about it, then go on...

And, PLEASE READ BEFORE SENDING US AN E-MAIL:
If your main inspiration is Rhapsody Of Fire and you call your music power metal or (especially) if you play nu "metal", emo, screamo, hardcore, grindcore, mallcore (or any "core" for that matter), goth, industrial, alternative etc. - don't waste our time with your stuff - and you will not waste yours. This is a METAL label, as the name indicates. We appreciate some old school death and black metal, but we're not really interested in these genres as a label. However if you play this special mix of thrash, black, doom and death in the true early '80s vein, it could be our cup of tea (especially if you sound like VENOM or HELLHAMMER!).

I read ALL your e-mails and check your music (unless I see from the e-mail or/and your page that it's clearly not our cup of tea - then I don't waste my time of course), but please DO NOT expect a reply, even if we might like your music. It's become too time consuming to reply to all e-mails, so I decided to reply ONLY in case we are seriously interested in co-operation. Thanks for your understanding.

We are here to support the METAL we love. We've been dedicated fans for over 20 years now and decided it's time to repay to the scene that enriched our lives with such a great amount of unforgettable moments with the best music ever. The idea to start a record label was born in late 2007 and brought to life in 2008.

Since we've become metalheads in the '80s, our hearts belong mostly to that period - and we think it was absolutely THE greatest time for metal. However there are still plenty of talented bands that didn't forget what metal is all about. Trends came and went, and unfortunately dominated and weakened the scene, so the REAL metal had to go underground. This label is for those who keep the old metal spirit alive, fans and musicians who play their music with heart and with balls, no matter if it's thrash, heavy, doom, speed, power (and we mean: POWER, like US power, not Euro happy metal).

But ideological talk aside...
We value quality over quantity, so there will be about 6 releases every year, preceded by a promo compilation. Another reason for that is that we want to be able to give proper support to each band, which would be impossible with a huge roster, as we are just a 2-persons company.

To the bands:
We can't promise you mountains of gold and worldwide fame. But we promise to do ALL we can to make your music available in as many countries as possible by creating and constantly developing our distribution network. We know how important spreading the word is, so we are going to take care about the proper promotion of your albums as well. Apart from releasing your CDs, we can help you with the design and production of the merchandising. And last but not least: we want to see you on the stage, so we'll certainly search for opportunities for your band to play live. All the details concerning the royalties, complimentary copies and all other vital matters will be put in a clearly written contract.

We believe that our experiences from other fields can help us to run this label successfully (Simone is a journalist, graphic layouter and former manager of a publishing house, Jowita is a graphic artist and photographer working for bands since many years). We ARE metal fans, but at the same time we want to run this business professionally, so that both sides can profit from their activities and we can continue to spread the quality metal music for long years to come!

In Metal We Trust,
Jowita Kaminska-Peruzzi and Simone A. Peruzzi

Raw Metal Logo
A division of Metal On Metal Records

Raw Metal is not a new genre. It doesn't mean "better" or "worse" either. Raw Metal means raw, unrestrained energy of metal played with no compromises and sounding as if '90s have never happened. It cuts like a rusty saw blade and chops like a battle axe. So if you like your metal only polished and clean, our releases labeled as RAW Metal are probably not for you.

But if you feel nostalgic for the '80s, like we do, and you don't mind raw and dirty production and a take-no-prisoners attitude, these slabs of metal might be exactly what you've been waiting for! Love it or hate it, but take it for what it is: RAW METAL!
